This is one of the most sought after roles within the pharmaceutical industry. Well paid with high status roles the pharma sales manager is responsible for ensuring a full team of medical reps meet their own individual targets.
Your role will be varied with tasks ranging from the recruitment of new medical reps to mentoring and training as well as dealing poor and unacceptable performance levels. Not for the faint hearted, you will, at some point, end up having to fire people and/or make them redundant if you are to do the role for sustained period. Fail to deal with poor performance or unacceptable behaviors and it may be your own job on the line next!
Overall a highly enjoyable and rewarding role. You'll need to be a top performer to get one of these in the first place.
