Medical information jobs
There are two broad purposes of medical information jobs. Firstly as a reference point for customers who may be using the company's products. Secondly as a reference point for those trying to sell the company's products.
Medicines in active use in any area will carry enormous amounts of clinical evidence behind them which have implications for where and how they are used. If would be impossible for any customer to find everything relevant to a particular query at a given moment, yet they may need to make important patient decisions.
People in medical information jobs are therefore there to act as an authority for the medical information related to a companies products, often at short notice to help physicians make decisions.
In addition, medical information also act as a resource for sales and marketing staff looking for information which may help them sell their products.
