Dispensing Dr rep jobs
Normal medical rep roles are often thought to be a 'soft' sell, there's no deal sign and no money directly at stake. Dispensing DR rep jobs are the commercial end of the medical rep role.
Although still operating within the NHS and therefore driven to save money, the dispensing DR also runs a commercial business in the form of a pharmacy for whicn they are out to make a profit. This generates what is often called the perverse incentive, whilst the NHS dictates the cheaper choices are made, the dispensing DR will actually make more money from an expensive product option.
Dispensing Dr rep jobs have an additional dimension excitement in that they generally are charged with negotiating deals with the dispensing practices. That said, this needs to be done carefully with the consideration that the practice operates in the price sensitive NHS.
Dispensing DRs are rural where there are less pharmacies, as a result you will likely cover a large area and do much more driving than a normal medical rep. These positions often carry better bonus opportunities and may involving a much wider product portfolio.
